TAKE A CLOSER LOOK
What distinguishes the X model from the Honda CBR500R and the Honda CB500F is the position behind the wheel. The motorcyclist is sitting here upright and comfortable. There is enough space even for large guys, and the comfort a comfortable way of interaction with the machine is possible thanks to the seat placed at a reasonable height. Stylization? Kiyoshi Katagiri, who is responsible for the design of the entire CB500x range, drew on the standard set by Honda Crosstourer. This is a very good standard, that’s why a small X looks just very good. If the CB500X has the right to be called adventure, it has to deal with off-road driving, because the adventure is rather far from the main roads. This is where we pay attention to the clearance (17 cm is satisfactory), which in my opinion is more important than the large suspension travel (front 108 and rear 119 mm – not much). Thanks to this compromise, the motorcycle will pass over larger obstacles like stones or curbs, and the seat still remains at a reasonable height. If you put on a more ground-oriented tire, you’ll be able to do it on any harder path.
